Title VIII Fellow

Kaitlyn Lee is a Title VIII Fellow with the Transatlantic Leadership program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), where her research focuses on the successes and failures of NGOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina in promoting democracy.

Kait has traveled extensively in the Balkan region.  She first visited the region as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Vidin, Bulgaria, then as a student at the language schools Croaticum (Zagreb) and Balkan Language Initiative (Sarajevo), and finally as an Intern at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia.  During her travels, Kait used her experiences to dive into the culture, history, and politics of the region in order to better inform her studies and career.

With a love for languages, Kait has an undergraduate degree from Centre College in Classical Studies with minors in Linguistics and French.  She then earned a Master’s degree in Linguistic Theory and Typology from the University of Kentucky, before recently completing a second Master’s degree at the Robert F. Byrnes Russian and East European Institute at Indiana University.
