Mikk Raud is a Cyber Policy and Innovation Advisor at the Estonian Ministry of Defense, where he leads projects on cyber security and policymaking for future technologies. Before joining the Estonian public sector, Mikk worked as a Technology and Information Security Oversight Engineer at PayPal in Silicon Valley, and as a Senior Consultant for cyber security at Control Risks in Hong Kong. Mikk holds a BA in Law and Politics from the University of Hong Kong, an MA in Economics from Yenching Academy at Peking University, and an MA in International Policy from Stanford University. His main areas of expertise are China, technology policy, and artificial intelligence. Mikk is also a Visiting Fellow at the Tallinn University, where he researches the geopolitical implications of the semiconductor industry.
