Ronan Murphy is Director of the Tech Policy Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis.

Prior to returning to Washington DC, Ronan most recently founded Cloda, a conversational commerce company, and led his own software development firm.  He led operations for an Irish event technology firm for several years having previously established the US subsidiary of Stimare, a device manufacturer.  He spent six years as a senior executive in the leading community and sporting organization in Ireland.  Ronan began his career in financial services, managing technical and multi-jurisdictional compliance projects for leading European institutions.

As an entrepreneur and technology professional, Ronan has extensive experience with the impact technology policy can and does have on businesses and their customers.

An Irish citizen, Ronan holds an MBA from George Washington University, an MSc from Dublin City University, and a bachelor’s in business and law from University College Dublin.  He is a doctoral candidate at the École des Ponts Business School in Paris with a research focus on the factors impacting the commercial adoption of new conversational technologies.
