Washington, DC, April 29 — The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) launches the Business Leadership Council (BLC), a new advisory group of influential business leaders.
This high-level group of experienced and senior business leaders will help guide CEPA’s strategic objectives, bringing critical and practical experience to drive impact in support of CEPA’s mission to ensure a strong and democratic transatlantic alliance for future generations.
The BLC will work in parallel with CEPA’s high-level policy group of global thought leaders, the International Leadership Council.
“As the world becomes increasingly unpredictable and unstable, the business community is often on the front lines of those rapid changes. Business leaders’ experiences and perspectives will enrich CEPA’s work on the most urgent issues facing the alliance, helping inform the forward-thinking policy ideas that animate CEPA’s mission and strategy,” CEPA President and CEO Dr. Alina Polyakova said.
Leading the BLC are three distinguished founding members:
George Casey is Global Chairman of Corporate of Linklaters LLP where he regularly advises Boards of Directors and management of major multinational companies on strategic M&A transactions, joint ventures and global alliances, corporate governance, ESG and shareholder relations issues. Prior to joining Linklaters, George was Global Managing Partner of Shearman & Sterling LLP where he also previously served as Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. George is a member of CEPA’s Board of Directors and also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Audit Committee of the American College of Greece.
Thomas Godward served as US Advisory Private Equity Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. He has thirty years of global industry and consulting experience in product management, technology deployment, and supply chain in addition to industry depth in industrials, aerospace, medical technology, defense, and telecom. Godward is an M&A expert advising BoDs and C-suite executives on capital deployment priorities, business strategy, and operational actions to drive performance.
Paul Schrotti is a Swedish business leader with a background in global industry. He currently serves as Senior Advisor to Lindéngruppen, a family-owned business committed to the sustainable long-term development of industrial companies. Prior to his current role, Schrotti was the President and CEO of Lindéngruppen until January 2024. Before joining Lindéngruppen, Schrotti held senior positions at Axel Johnson, EQT Partners, KPMG, and Electrolux. In addition to his role at Lindéngruppen, he acts as an advisor to Keyhaven Capital Partners. Schrotti also serves on the boards of Höganäs and Axel Johnson International and is a returning lecturer at INSEAD.
