About the Fellowship

Denton Transatlantic Fellowship Program, a program that brings a select group of rising professionals from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to Washington, DC for a three-week fellowship to engage and work with American experts on addressing major policy issues facing the transatlantic partnership.

The main goal of the fellowship program is to develop and support a network of next-generation transatlantic leaders and develop strategies and opportunities for cooperation that will meaningfully strengthen the US-CEE relationship. The program is designed to facilitate collaboration between the CEE and US policy professionals and help address and offer innovative solutions to mounting threats to the wider transatlantic partnership. Through this fellowship, those selected will substantially increase their expertise and be presented with career opportunities that will enable them to produce relevant and timely analysis for the policy community and help them advance professionally. The program is generously supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation.

James S. Denton Transatlantic Fellows will:

  • Participate in meetings and roundtable discussions with experts from the Washington, DC policy community.
  • Conduct independent research and analysis on a specific policy issue critical to the transatlantic policy community.
  • Engage with CEPA experts as part of the professional development training and have access to CEPA’s network of fellows.
