Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on cross-cutting defense technology, innovation, and transatlantic security policy issues;
  • Assist in managing TDS DTI’s day-to-day programmatic activities, including coordinating communication with staff, partners, and external experts;
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of TDS DTI convenings, including public events, roundtables, workshops, and conferences;
  • Assist with outreach to partners and maintain regular contact with TDS DTI’s network of fellows, researchers, and contributors;
  • Prepare written materials and assist in the preparation of briefing notes and background materials;
  • Attend meetings and events on CEPA’s behalf as requested and provide concise verbal or written summaries of key takeaways;
  • Manage travel requirements for the program;
  • Provide research, writing, and programmatic support as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, political science, or a related discipline is required;
  • Knowledge of defense technology, emerging technology policy, or transatlantic security issues is preferred;
  • Excellent research and writing skills;
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively through briefings and presentations;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, meet deadlines, and remain effective under pressure;
  • A flexible, creative, and solution-oriented approach to challenges;
  • Willingness to respond to evolving priorities and represent CEPA professionally in discussions and briefings with partners.

  • The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team, including developing insights and communicating them clearly in both written and verbal briefings.
