Reflections on NATO: United for a New Era

December 16, 2020 at 9:00 am to 10:00 am

Event Overview

How can the NATO Alliance adapt together to address the evolving strategic environment over the next decade?

At a moment in which NATO is more indispensable than ever to protect Allies’ security and democratic way of life, the NATO Reflection Group’s report "NATO 2030: United for a New Era" presents a roadmap for how the Alliance can adapt together to address the evolving strategic environment over the next decade. Following the group’s presentation of their final report to Allied foreign ministers in Brussels, this conversation will be an opportunity to unpack the report’s recommendations with a U.S. audience.

During this CEPA virtual event, Reflection Group co-chairs Thomas de Maizière and A. Wess Mitchell, alongside Katarzyna Pisarska, discuss with Alina Polyakova what the group’s findings mean for the Alliance’s future, Central and Eastern Europe, and the incoming U.S. administration.

A. Wess Mitchell, Co-chair, NATO Reflection Group; Vice Chairman of the Board, CEPA
