Belarus & Biden: A New Strategy?

March 10, 2021 at 9:00 am to 10:00 am

Event Overview

President Biden's Administration has a historic chance to work with the transatlantic community and engage on Belarus.

Belarus's struggle for freedom and democracy continues seven months after the 2020 fraudulent presidential election. Although extreme repression by Aliaksandr Lukashenka's regime and cold weather have reduced the scale of protests, civil society continues to self-organize and vehemently reject the violent reactionary policies of Lukashenka's regime. President Biden's Administration has a historic chance to work with the transatlantic community and engage on Belarus, while also promoting U.S. values and interests in Europe.
