Tom Firestone is a partner in the law firm Squire Patton Boggs, where he serves as a member of the firm’s White Collar and Government Investigations practice group. He represents clients in matters before the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of State and Interpol.
He previously spent 14 years at DOJ. While there, he worked as an Assistant US Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where he prosecuted transnational organized crime cases. At DOJ, he also worked as Resident Legal Adviser and Acting Chief of the Law Enforcement Section at the US Embassy in Moscow. In this capacity, he twice won the US State Department Superior Honor Award. He has been repeatedly recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the field of Criminal Defense: White Collar. He graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School and has an M.A. in Political Science from U.C. Berkeley.
