Tania Lațici is a Non-resident Fellow with the Transatlantic Defense and Security Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis where she contributes to matters related to the EU’s security and defense policy and transatlantic defense.
She works full-time as a Policy Officer on strategic aspects of the EU’s security and defense policy in the European External Action Service - the European Union’s diplomatic service - advising the office of the Managing Director. In parallel, she is an Associate Fellow at the Egmont Institute and a Member of Women in International Security Brussels, among others. She received leadership distinctions by NATO, GLOBSEC, the Warsaw Security Forum, GMF, CEPA, Schmidt Futures, and others. In 2020, she was appointed by NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg to inform the NATO2030 strategic reflection. Previously, Tania held the security and defense portfolio in the European Parliamentary Research Service, and worked at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, among others. She speaks Romanian, English, French, and Spanish, and has German and Dutch language aspirations.
