Marta Granados Hernández is a candidate at Georgetown University’s Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program, concentrating in Science, Technology, and International Affairs and a Fellow with the Google Policy Fellowship at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).

Originally from Barcelona, Spain, she has extensive experience in multilateral diplomacy and technology policy. As a policy officer at the Permanent Mission of Malta to the United Nations during Malta’s term on the Security Council, she represented Malta and the European Union in negotiations on human rights and gender equality at the UN General Assembly. She contributed to Security Council deliberations on Myanmar. She has also held positions at the European Union Delegation and the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations, where she covered sustainable development processes. Her policy experience extends to the private sector, where she supported analysis of European sustainability and technology regulations at Albright Stonebridge Group and researched China’s Belt and Road Initiative and technology exports at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Her research focuses on the intersection of technology and human rights, with an emphasis on digital surveillance, censorship, and the misuse of technology against vulnerable communities, including women and girls. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International and Humanitarian Studies from Fordham University.
