Filip Krenek is the International Relations Officer at the Directorate-General (DG) for Competition of the European Commission, where he is part of a task force preparing the implementation and enforcement of the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. Filip focuses primarily on distortive economic policies, such as subsidies and other unfair trading practices. Filip has previously worked in other parts of the European Commission, namely as a Trade Affairs Officer for Latin America at DG Trade and as an Information and Communication Officer at DG Regional and Urban Development. He has also worked as a news reporter for Czech Television. He holds two master’s degrees from Masaryk University in economic policy, and journalism and media studies.
