Emmie Hine is a Ph.D. candidate in Law, Science, and Technology at the University of Bologna and KU Leuven, where she researches the ethics and governance of emerging technologies. Her background is in computer science and Chinese, and she was a software engineer before starting her Ph.D. She is also the author of the Ethical Reckoner Newsletter, a weekly publication on tech.
