Diana Manucharian is a Research Assistant with the Democratic Resilience Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).
She holds an MSc in War Studies from the University of Glasgow (United Kingdom). Her dissertation examined changes in Russian military policy and Russia-NATO relations from 2000 to 2008.
With experience at the United Nations University think tank, the UN-Women agency, the Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center, and the Peacebuilding School at the European University Viadrina, Diana is committed to advancing conflict resolution and peacebuilding through research and advocacy.
Diana has a strong background in journalism, with five years of experience working for leading Ukrainian media outlets, the Russian opposition media outlet Meduza, and a German television channel. Before earning her degree in War Studies, she leveraged the power of media to foster public dialogue in divided societies. Her work included interviews with prominent thinkers and scholars such as Yuval Noah Harari, Niall Ferguson, Timothy Snyder, Serhii Plokhii, Timothy Ash, and Edward Lucas, among others. Her articles highlighted crisis-related issues and promoted critical engagement with sensitive topics across Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Turkey, and Armenia.
