Alina Kreynovich is a Program Assistant for External Affairs at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).
Her academic and professional work has focused on US–European cooperation, democratic resilience, and translating complex policy developments into accessible public dialogue. She previously served in the U.S. Senate, where she supported the press offices of Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Ben Cardin. In these roles, she coordinated media logistics for Capitol Hill events, conducted daily press monitoring, and drafted communications on national security and foreign policy priorities.
Alina also brings direct experience in transatlantic engagement, having supported on-the-ground humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, organized international student programs through European Horizons, and led outreach for international affairs societies in both Dublin and New York. She was also a Saltzman Scholar at Columbia’s Institute for War and Peace Studies, where she participated in private roundtables with senior political leaders.
Alina is a graduate of the dual bachelor’s program between Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin, earning degrees in Political Science and Middle Eastern and European Studies.
