#CEEDisinfoWeek highlights the current disinformation landscape in Central and Eastern Europe, and how external and home-grown disinformation has adapted to take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic.

Not so long ago, the idea that Kremlin or Chinese disinformation could be a serious problem for western countries seemed unlikely. However, the coronavirus pandemic has presented an unprecedented opportunity for Chinese and Russian authorities to use disinformation and malign influence operations to exploit existing societal and national divisions within Central and Eastern Europe.
