Michael Newton is the Deputy Director for communications and operations at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), where he oversees the organization’s digital communications, publications, and media outreach. Prior to joining CEPA, Michael was assistant director at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center and previously worked at the Commission for Security and Cooperation in Europe, where he authored the commission’s report 2018 World Cup: The Beautiful Game and an Ugly Regime, which focused on the corruption, discrimination, and forced labor prior to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Michael graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a bachelor’s degree in international history.
