In a follow-up to its groundbreaking Tipping Point report, CEPA's U.S.-Romania Initiative Governance Working Group releases its much-awaited sequel - Beyond the "tipping point:" Anti-corruption works. Governance works better.
The report delves into the symptoms of weak governance and vulnerabilities hampering the effectiveness of Romania’s government, both of which create opportunities for corruption. However, criminal prosecutions will not be enough to bring a reset in public values regarding corruption.
How can the Romanian administrative scaffolding keep up with citizens’ expectations regarding a system of governance that prevents corruption and ensures effective public service delivery?
